Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a common viral infection in cats. It generally causes asymptomatic infection, but can cause mild diarrhea. As yet poorly understood changes in the virus can give rise to mutants that lead to the development of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).  Most cats infected with a FCoV eliminate virus following infection, but some cats may develop a persistent infection.

CSN25250 (2R,3R,4S,5R)-2-(4-Aminopyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-7-yl)-3,4-dihydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran-2-carbonitrile 1191237-69-0 GS-441524, a small molecule nucleoside analog, strongly inhibits feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) virus in tissue culture and experimental cat infection. It acts as an alternative substrate and RNA-chain terminator of viral RNA dependent RNA polymerase.
CSN25342 Sodium (2S)-2-((S)-2-(((benzyloxy)carbonyl)amino)-4-methylpentanamido)-1-hydroxy-3-(2-oxopyrrolidin-3-yl)propane-1-sulfonate 1416992-39-6 GC376 is a 3CLpro (3C-like protease) inhibitor that shows promise in treating cats with certain presentations of FIP and has opened the door to targeted antiviral drug therapy.
