Panaxatriol, a natural product isolated and purified from the roots of Panax ginseng C. A. Mey. with significant antiradiation effects by reducing the frequency of chromatid mutative induced by X-ray, ameliorates I/R-induced myocardial damage by reducing oxidative stress, relieves myelosuppression induced by radiation injury ,via regulating the expression of hemopoietic growth factor GM-CSF, and has protective effects on the focal cerebral ischemia of MACO (middle cerebral artery occlusion) rats or incompleted global brain ischemia mice. 3.
