Heneicosanol is a long-chain primary fatty alcohol that is henicosane in which a hydrogen attached to one of the terminal carbons is replaced by a hydroxy group. It could be isolated from Senecio coluhuapiensis. It presented activity against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 27853) as well as against Candida albicans (NIM 982879) and C. krusei (ATCC 6258), Botrytis cinerea.
